On December 1, 1983 she was united in marriage to Clyde Franks, Jr., who survives. Mrs. Franks was owner and operator of Lee's Discount and she also worked for Angelica for 5 years. She was a member of Hope Ministries. Mrs. Franks was raised in Decatur, Alabama and lived in Hardin County for 30 years. She was a people loving person, always smiling and cheerful. Mrs. Franks enjoyed talking to people about God. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Franks loved singing. She departed this life on August 26, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 12 days. In addition to her husband, Clyde of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by one daughter, Shirley Stevenson and her husband Lynn of Savannah, Tennessee and one son, Otis Dewayne Harville and his wife Teresa of Savannah, Tennessee 2 step daughters, Jan Washburn of Savannah, Tennessee and Joan Washburn of Selmer, Tennessee 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren 2 sisters, Elizabeth Johnson and Willadean Garrison, both of Hartselle, Alabama In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Farris Grissom, one grandchild, Tanya Middleton and 2 great grandchildren, Jeremiah Harville and Dillon Austin.
On February 10, 1943 she was united in marriage to Reginald Wilson Jones, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1974. Mrs. Jones was a school teacher for at Tangelo Park Elementary in Orlando, Florida before she retired. She was a member of the Polish National Alliance, Lions Club Rotary and the American Legion of Eau Gallie, Florida, Florida Congress of Parents and Teachers, St. James Cathedral and St. Nicholas Catholic Church of Orlando, Florida. Mrs. Jones departed this life on August 22, 2010 at the age of 88 years, 2 months, 1 day. She is survived by a son, Robert William Jones of Savannah, Tennessee; a daughter, Kathryn Jean Watson of St. Petersburg, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Brandie R. Jones and Megan Watson; a brother, Alexander Bernard Slawski. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by, a sister, Josephine A. Slawski; 3 brothers, Henry P., Joseph P. and Stephen S. Slawski.
Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her first husband, George White, who passed away in 1965, and her second husband, Scott Ross, who passed away in 1996. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Leo Hargrove and two sisters, Anita Grimes and Annie Lou Roach. Mrs. Ross is survived by one sister, Mary Ruth Ledbetter and husband Alex of Virginia, one uncle Billy Laden and wife Margarite, and cousins, Bobby, Brenda, Laura Beth Laden and Nell Dicus. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Garry Grimes, Teresa Sellers, Linda Holman, Bill Ledbetter and David Ledbetter. |


MAMIE LEE FRANKS was born in Decatur, Alabama on April 14, 1937 the daughter of the late Daniel Pearson and Denny Sparks Grissom.
Services for Louise (Weezy Brown) were held on Sunday, August 29th, 2010 1:30 PM at Shackelford Chapel, 450 Church Street, Savannah, Tennessee with interment at Gillis Mills Cemetery, Hardin County, Tennessee
Jeannie Jones was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1922 the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Antonette Domzalska Slawski.
